Cybersafety
Unit EQ: How do you protect your safety on the Internet.
LEQ: What are the legal issues that effect students online?
Activating Strategies: School Resource Office introduces himself and explains what role is in the district.
Acceleration/Previewing/Vocabulary: SRO, Myspace, Facebook, Harassment, Stalking, Misdemeanor, Felony, Rights, Responsibilities.
Teaching Strategies and Distributed Guided Practice/Summarizing Prompts:
SRO uses Powerpoint, videos, and samples of student activities in the district to impress upon the students the importance of appropriate use of the interent.
Summarizing Strategies:
Question and answer time from students. Teacher chooses questions annonymously from ones turned in day before.
